#     Add Item to Dock Introduction
#    ===============================


Once additemtodock has been installed, open a terminal and type 'additemtodock' followed by retrun or enter. You will be presented with a warning  :

WARNING ! : No argument provided. Nothing added to the Dock.
          Usage : additemtodock /Applications/Safari.app/

The line starting with "Usage" explains how to use additemtodock. In this example the application Safari is added. This is because it has been passed as an argument to the additemtodock utility.

You can get more help about additemtodock by typing : "man additemtodock"

To view the source code for additemtodock, type : "cat /sbin/additemtodock"
